AN OLD FARMER'S FRIENDLY ADVISE!!!!!!!!!!!
Some people are like slinkies; not worth much but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!

Progress on the barn is slowed due to weather.

I thought by now the barn would be framed and the metal roof and sides would be on. Due to sleet, hail, rain, snow, wind, and cold weather we stopped. On May 14th the weather changed and beautiful weather followed. We will be ready for Steel after the 16th. When complete I will add pictures.

RV Poll Barn under construction

I am building a poll barn for my RV. Here is the shell. About two more days and it will be ready for metal roof and sides. Later I will build sliding doors for the front. In the back corner will be an overhead garage door, along with a side door in the other back corner.
The bottom picture you can see Ihave landscaped with 5 spruce trees. I have a trench dug and will have a drip system to the trees.

After carving this Viking and not sure what to do with it, I turned it into a strawberry planter. with three hanging baskets. I also put it on a platform with casters. I roll it in the garage at night and roll it back out in the AM for it's daily dose of sun. If and when it warms up (about August) I will leave it out all night.

Jerri wanted a place in her garden to keep her gardon tools. I designed it with a door in the front. Inside will hold here hand tools and gloves for digging. In the back of the box is a bird house built in. It has two bells, a rain gauge, and 4 flower pot hangers. Each has a pepper plant. On the top is an antique Dekalb Ag Corn sign given to me by my sister.

I built this "Patio Table" for our own use, constructed from Doug Fur and has six stools. The table and each stool has a "stick bear" burnt into the wood. I also made the branding iron that burnt in the "stick bear"

HOG PLAQUE

I designed this plaque and donated it to Bridger Mountain Hog. It is for the clubs annual Chili Cook Off contest. The winners name will be added to the plaque each year. The plaque will be displayed at the Yellow Stone Harley-Davidson Dealership in Belgrade, MT. The plaque is Walnut, the circle is Mahogany, and the HOG is hand carved from Walnut.

The is a Galileo Weather Station I made from Mahogany. It displays a galileo thermometer, barometer, hydrometer, and clock. I donated it to "HAVEN" for a silent auction. HAVEN is an organization that helps victims of domestic violence. I am told it sold for over $200.00.

My drive Mid November of 09

This was 2 days after a two foot snow. It's not as pretty as it looks.

My drive August of 09

The broken light is the result of it jumping out in front of my lawn tractor. OOPS I have sense replacet it.

Wood Project

Shown here is a head board of a bed I was hired to replace missing parts on. The top piece showing the half circle with side trim and the right side missing the quarter circle with side trim was missing. They were originally hand carved and I was to duplicate the missing pieces. Here are 3 before pics and one comleted bed.

Harlow Fair 2009

Ally, Amanda,Emmy all entered their sheep in the Harlow Fair. Here they are with there sheep.
Ally took 1st over all in breeding stock
Amanda took 1st in showman ship
Emmy took 2nd in showman ship
They also took 1st,2nd and 3rd in breeding stock. In my eyes they are all first class little ranchers. But, that's just grandpa talking.
David was there but not old enough to show stock.
